BOOT, TRUNK LID RUBBER SEAL (CHANNEL FITTING TYPE) that would be suitable for the following vehicles :

TRIUMPH TR2, TR3 & TR3A (TO TS60000); YEARS 1953-1961.

This seal is supplied NEW and for reference has the Part No. 605810.

The seal is manufactured in the UK from a foam rubber/rubber neoprene material and it is the channel type seal which fits into the metal recess around the edge of the boot opening. The late model TR3A had a different type of seal that push fitted over a metal lip.

It is designed to prevent water ingress into the boot floor area and also to lessen the effects of vibration of the boot lid when the car is being driven. These seals can perish over time so if yours has not been changed in a long time or is ripped then this would make the ideal replacement part. The seal is supplied slightly oversized in length so it can be tailored to the individual car.

NOTE : The boot aperture on the above noted TR models is rectangular in shape and the corners are at 90 degrees so this seal may need to be cut & mitred to suit. Always measure twice and cut once !
