'BRITISH MOTOR CORPORATION' METAL ID, CHASSIS PLATE that is suitable for the following vehicles :

AUSTIN, MORRIS, WOLSELEY, MG 1100, 1300, 1300GT ADO16 ; YEARS 1962-1974.

This plate is manufactured in the UK and is made from lightweight aluminium with the words 'BRITISH MOTOR CORPORATION' printed onto it. It has been faithfully reproduced from an original chassis plate and is correct in terms of size, colour and font size.

It locates usually within the engine bay and is held in place by either rivets or screws (depending upon the model ; fixings not included).

The original chassis plate is, after 45+ years now usually tatty, damaged or missing, so if you want that straight from the factory look, this is definitely the part for you. Ideal to use if you have repaired your chassis rails and then painted them and don't want to use the original metal plate.
